February 1 Hotline (Feb 1, 2000)

The market was spanked sharply last week on the concerns that I have been highlighting for weeks: the economy is white hot and the Fed will raise interest rates. Prior to this week, the market was probably looking for the Fed to raise interest rates twice by 25 basis points. Now, the Street is likely looking for even more rate hikes. The Street is starting to come in line with my view now.

The high volatility will continue. I look for some stability early in the week but for the downward direction to stay intact for the near future. It's too early to step in and buy. We need to see more pessimistic sentiment.

For now, stay fully invested in WSW stocks. If stopped out of any positions, slowly re-allocate that money into the strongest WSW stocks you see.

A Comparison of Popular Trading Systems
Book by Lars Kestner
"A Comparison of Popular Trading Systems" was originally written to determine which ideas and strategies of published authors were profitable. The systems found in popular books usually were not rigorously tested for performance. This manual is a vehicle to test that performance. In its second edition, the analysis has been updated and expanded to include more ideas and new techniques. Order Now! Order Now!
