From
the upcoming July Issue of CTCR: Review of Jake Bernstein's Trade Your Way
To Riches
(Aug. 27, 1999) "Trade
Your Way to Riches gained notoriety as the result of an infomercial done by
the author, Jake Bernstein, and an outside marketing firm. Legal action ensued
by the authorities. I have not seen the infomercial nor do I know the outcome
of the legal proceeding. However, both of these facts are irrelevant to whether
or not this product is a good product for futures traders. CTCR exists to independently
evaluate futures products on their merits. The bottom line is whether the product
will help the user make money."
The
upcoming issue tells you whether or not this book is worth buying or not, and
whether it is better or worse than similar products by Ken Roberts and Larry Williams.
And
from the Current Issue: a Question on OptionVue 5 (Aug.
27, 1999)
"I
am currently using the Option Oracle software by Deltasoft Financial Technologies
for a 30 day trial period. This software was considered favorable by David Caplan
in his book, The New Options Advantage.
However, I don't find it as user friendly
as I anticipated...Also the documentation (bound book and on line user guide)
leave something to be desired.
I'm wondering if: 1) there have been any reviews
on this software and 2) are there any other option softwares out there that have
good reviews that I should be considering.
Dave Caplan also wrote that Option
Vue was excellent software but that it was less user friendly and was for the
SERIOUS option strategist. (This info may be dated since the book was published
quite a few years ago.)
Do you have any reviews that might evaluate Option
Oracle or have a listing of top notch option softwares available in the industry?
I started my 30 day trial on Aug 2nd.....I would like to consider other packages
before locking in to Option Oracle.
I searched your web page thoroughly--I
did not see any issues that contained the info I'm looking for.
Do you have
any suggestions? Thank you for your help." J.S.

Courtney Smith: By an amazing coincidence, we reviewed OptionVue 5 in our
current issue and gave it a very good review. However, we felt that it was best
for experienced option traders not novices.
