July Issue of the CTCR Newsletter
Out Now!
Outlook/Aberration/Bernstein/Easy
Language
(Aug. 29, 1999)
Twice a year we ask
our advisors to give their outlook on the markets.
In
addition, we like to ask them some probing question that is hopefully timeless.
This time we asked to consider if there are any differences in trading now compared
with trading five, ten, or fifteen years ago. I think you'll find their thoughts
interesting.
We're
very excited to welcome Thomas Stridsman as a contributing editor. Thomas has
done a stellar job writing excellent articles and reviews for Futures magazine
and Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities. I think that he will excel even
greater in CTCR because of the greater freedom we have here. Take a look at his
two reviews in this issue and I think you will agree that they are insightful
and useful.
Aberration
has made a huge name for itself as being one of the premier mechanical trading
systems being sold. They sent us a copy some months ago and we simply didn't have
the time to review it. We're glad we finally did since it has excellent performance.
We've been tracking
Jake Bernstein for almost the entire history of CTCR. We've reviewed many of his
products through the years. In this issue, we review his course that was made
infamous because of the infomercial. We find that the course is actually quite
good, particularly for those interested in seasonal trading.
Perhaps
the most popular programming language for futures traders is Easy Language, the
programming language for Omega's TradeStation. The guru of Easy Language, Sam
Tennis, has written a book and our new Contributing Editor writes an interesting
review of the book and provides some excellent advice on who should buy this book
and how to use it.
This
is also our second issue in the new format. Everybody is raving about it. They
love how it turns CTCR into a user-friendly reference book. Everybody should be
receiving their binder at about the same time they receive this issue.
Enjoy!
