Question
on Tom Busby
"I met you at the Futures West Seminar
in Burbank a few months back, and I signed on as a new
subscriber. I don't expect that you'll remember me, but
we talked for about 15/20 minutes and I was impressed
by your friendliness & knowledge of the futures industry.
Although I've done fairly well in what I've been doing
in the equities markets, I want to move more into trading
the S&P's, NASDAQ 100 futures, etc. I've been doing alot
of reading and research in preparing for that move. I've
also been looking for a good "hands-on" trading seminar
to help me out in that area.
Up to now, the only seminar I've taken has been one of
those *MEGALOTHIC* (I don't think there is really such
a word, but I'm sure you know what I mean!) Larry Williams
affairs. While I don't take anything at all away from
Larry's reputation, longevity, and success in the industry
- somehow, being in a herd of hundreds of people is not
the type of environment most conducive for me to personally
learn
At Futures West, one of the people/company I met was Tom
Busby who runs the Daytrading Institute out of Mobile,
Alabama. I've never heard of Tom before, but in talking
to him, I liked him. He seemed pretty low-key and genuine,
but maybe that's just part of the natural, "aw-shucks"
Southern, down-home charm that many people from that region
have.
Months after Future West, after I've forgotten most of
the particulars that all those various vendors were promoting,
for some reason, some of the things he told me sticks
in my mind. I guess what I liked most of all was that
he keeps his training sessions to 2 people **AT MOST**.
It does sound really, really, individualized and hands-on.
Here are my questions regarding Tom - I'll just rattle
off all I can think of -
1) Have you heard of Tom (& his program), or are you familiar
with him?
2) If so, what kind of a reputation does he have with
industry insiders - ie, a real trader, or ....what?
3) Do you know of anyone who's taken his training/seminar,
and if so, have you gotten any feedback - good or bad?
I don't know if you answer these types of questions, but
if you can, I'd appreciate it.
I've made my budget for my trading for next year, and
I have allocated for training/seminars/education expenses.
I just want to make sure that I'm not wasting my money.

Thank
you for your time! W."
