READER QUESTION AT CTCR Online

SuperCharts End-of-Day (June 7, 1999)
"I read one of your positive comments on using SuperCharts End-of-Day software. I just recently bought the Larry Williams course and am in the process of studying that and anything else I can get my hands on to learn more about futures trading. I don't want to spend a lot of money for software, but it sounds like SuperCharts End-of-Day might be beneficial to me and it is much less expensive than most of the others. Can you actually use this software for futures trading, as opposed to stock trading? What is the difference in SuperCharts End-of-Day and SuperCharts Real-Time? I would appreciate any comments you might have. Thanks." A.R.

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF COURTNEY SMITH'S ANSWER AT CTCR Online

Editor-in-Chief Courtney Smith:

You can absolutely use SuperCharts for futures trading. In fact, Omega Research really got their start as a futures trading software company rather than a stock oriented company.

The key difference between End-of-day and Real Time is exactly that! Real Time is designed to accept real time prices so you can watch the charts change using intraday data. End-of-day can only accept end-of-day data so is just used once a day.

Frankly, I never recommend that beginners start out day trading. It's simply too hard. You have to have all the same skills as a position traders but have much less time to consider your trades.
